Is Old Man Winter driving up your utility bills?
Fight back with some of these “cold weather” energy saving tips:
Replace screens with storm windows for an extra barrier to cold outside air. Make sure to close storm windows tightly so no air leaks in or out.
Don't block radiators or heating vents with furniture or draperies. Keep your radiators, registers and baseboard heaters dirt and dust free.
Schedule regular maintenance of your heating system with a qualified contractor. Replace furnace filters monthly, or according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Weatherize your home by caulking and weather-stripping around doors and windows.
